If you’re a fan of quirky, lovable plush toys with a story, the Mini Squishable Mori the Plague Rat is about to steal your heart. This tiny squishable character brings a dash of dark humor and a whole lot of personality to the Squishable lineup. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just looking for a unique small plush toy to brighten your desk, Mori delivers in spades.

In this Mini Squishable Mori the Plague Rat review, we’ll dive into its design, softness, size, and overall value. We’ll also compare it to other popular mini plush toys from the Squishable family, like the Mini Squishable Vampire Bat and the Undercover Snacker Kitty in Dragon, to help you decide if this little rat deserves a spot in your nest.

First Impressions: A Rat with a Story

Unboxing the Mini Squishable Mori the Plague Rat is an experience in itself. The plush arrives in Squishable’s signature packaging, with a cute bio tag that tells you all about Mori’s backstory. According to the tag, Mori is a friendly plague rat who just wants to cuddle—despite his misunderstood reputation. This narrative touch adds a layer of charm that makes the plush feel like a character, not just a toy.

The design is both adorable and historically inspired. Mori features a soft gray body, a pink nose and ears, and a tiny black mask that gives him a mischievous yet endearing expression. His tail is long and curved, perfect for wrapping around your finger. At just a few inches tall, he’s the ideal size for a pocket, purse, or shelf. The attention to detail is impressive, especially for a mini plush.

• Soft, high-quality fabric that feels great to the touch
• Detailed stitching and a unique mask design
• Compact size: about 5 inches tall, perfect for travel

Softness and Huggability: Squish Factor

One of the standout features of any Squishable product is its incredible softness, and Mori is no exception. The plush is made from a velvety microsuede material that invites you to squeeze and cuddle. Despite being a mini, it has a satisfying weight and squishiness that makes it a great stress reliever. You can easily carry it in your hand or tuck it into a bag for on-the-go comfort.

Compared to other mini plush toys like the Mini Squishable Nightcrawler, Mori has a slightly more structured body, which helps him hold his shape even after repeated hugs. The stuffing is evenly distributed, so there are no lumpy spots. Whether you’re using him as a desk companion or a bedtime buddy, Mori’s squish factor is top-notch.

• Velvety microsuede exterior for a premium feel
• Firm yet squeezable stuffing that retains shape
• Great for stress relief and sensory play

Design Details: What Makes Mori Unique

Mori the Plague Rat stands out in the Squishable lineup thanks to his distinct aesthetic. The black plague doctor mask is the centerpiece of his design, complete with a tiny beak and eye holes. This gives him a mysterious, almost steampunk vibe that contrasts beautifully with his cute, round body. His pink nose and ears soften the look, making him approachable rather than spooky.

The stitching is precise and durable, ensuring that small details like his whiskers and tail will last through plenty of play. The fabric is also easy to clean—a quick spot wash with a damp cloth will keep him looking fresh. For collectors, Mori is a fantastic addition because he represents a niche theme (plague rats) that isn’t commonly found in plush toys. He pairs wonderfully with other Squishable characters like the Squishable Colorpoint Kitty or the Comfort Food Baguette for a diverse collection.

• Unique plague doctor mask design with fine stitching
• Easy to clean with a damp cloth
• Pairs well with other Squishable mini plush toys

Comparison with Other Mini Squishable Plush Toys

If you’re wondering how Mori stacks up against other mini plush toys from Squishable, here’s a quick comparison. The Mini Squishable Vampire Bat is another spooky-themed mini, but it has a more gothic, winged silhouette. Mori, on the other hand, is rounder and more grounded, making him easier to hold. The Undercover Snacker Kitty in Dragon is a larger, more elaborate plush with a hidden snack pocket, but Mori’s simplicity is part of his appeal.

For those who love food-themed plushies, the Mini Squishable Frog Donut is a colorful, sweet alternative. But if you prefer a character with a historical twist and a bit of edge, Mori is the clear winner. His unique theme and compact size make him a standout in any collection, whether you’re a rat enthusiast or just a fan of quirky designs.

• Mori vs. Mini Squishable Vampire Bat: Mori is rounder and more huggable
• Mori vs. Undercover Snacker Kitty in Dragon: Mori is simpler and more portable
• Mori vs. Mini Squishable Frog Donut: Mori offers a darker, more unique aesthetic
