Squishable Rattlesnake Plush Review: The Cuddliest Reptile Friend You Never Knew You Needed

When you think of a rattlesnake, the first words that come to mind probably aren't "cuddly" or "huggable." But Squishable has a knack for transforming even the most unexpected animals into irresistible plush companions. The Squishable Rattlesnake is the latest addition to their growing lineup of wildlife-inspired toys, and it might just be the most surprising snuggle buddy of the year. In this review, we'll explore what makes this rattlesnake plush so special—from its unique design and ultra-soft texture to how it fits into your collection alongside other Squishable favorites.

If you've been eyeing the Squishable Rattlesnake but aren't sure whether it lives up to the hype, you're in the right place. We'll break down everything you need to know, including its size, poseability, and overall quality. Plus, we'll compare it to other popular Squishable reptile toys and animal plush to help you decide if this scaly friend deserves a spot on your shelf—or in your arms.

First Impressions: Design and Aesthetics

The Squishable Rattlesnake immediately stands out with its vibrant, nature-inspired color palette. The plush features a beautiful gradient of earthy greens, warm browns, and subtle yellows that mimic the patterns of a real diamondback rattlesnake—but with a cartoonish, approachable charm. The eyes are large and glossy, giving the snake an endearing, almost curious expression that makes it impossible not to smile. The iconic rattle at the tip of the tail is cleverly stitched with a soft, crinkly material that produces a gentle sound when shaken, adding a playful interactive element without being too loud or startling.

One of the most impressive aspects of the design is how Squishable managed to balance realism with cuteness. The snake's body is long and sinuous, allowing it to be posed in different positions—coiled up like a sleeping serpent, draped over your arm like a scarf, or stretched out across your bed. The fabric is a high-quality minky that feels incredibly soft to the touch, making it perfect for hugging. For fans of Squishable wildlife plush, this rattlesnake fits right in with other nature-inspired designs like the Squishable Succulent, offering a playful twist on a creature often misunderstood.

Size, Softness, and Build Quality

The Squishable Rattlesnake is available in the classic Squishable size, measuring approximately 18 inches from nose to tail. This makes it large enough to be a satisfying hug companion but compact enough to display on a desk or shelf. The plush is generously stuffed with premium polyester fiberfill, giving it that signature Squishable squish—firm enough to hold its shape but soft enough to sink into. The stitching is clean and durable, with reinforced seams around the tail and head where stress is most likely to occur.

When it comes to softness, this rattlesnake plush is top-tier. The minky fabric is brushed on both sides, creating a velvety surface that begs to be touched. Unlike some plush toys that feel rough or scratchy after repeated hugs, the Squishable Rattlesnake maintains its plushness even after weeks of cuddling. For those who appreciate variety in their collection, this snake pairs wonderfully with other textured Squishable toys like the Mini Squishable Potion Bottle, which offers a different but equally satisfying tactile experience.

• Approximately 18 inches long—perfect for hugging or draping
• Ultra-soft minky fabric with reinforced stitching
• Crinkly rattle tail adds a fun sensory element
• Machine washable on gentle cycle for easy care

How Does It Compare to Other Squishable Reptile Toys?

Squishable has released several reptile-inspired plush toys over the years, but the Rattlesnake brings something unique to the table. Unlike the stubby, rounder shapes of some lizard or turtle plushies, the snake's elongated body offers a completely different hugging experience. You can wrap it around your shoulders like a scarf, coil it into a nest for your other plushies, or simply hold it like a traditional stuffed animal. This versatility makes it a standout in the Squishable animal plush lineup.

If you already own other Squishable wildlife plush, the Rattlesnake will feel right at home. Its earthy tones complement the bright colors of the Squishable Caterpillar Plush Pouch or the whimsical design of the Mini Squishable Fire Kitsune. For collectors who enjoy themed displays, imagine a desert scene with the Rattlesnake coiled next to a Squishable Succulent—a perfect pairing of flora and fauna. The snake's gentle expression also makes it a great gift for kids who are fascinated by reptiles but might be scared of the real thing.

Who Is This Plush For?

The Squishable Rattlesnake is a fantastic choice for a wide range of people. Reptile enthusiasts will appreciate the thoughtful design that captures the essence of a real rattlesnake without being intimidating. Kids will love the soft texture and the fun rattle sound, while adults can enjoy it as a quirky desk companion or a stress-relieving hug buddy. It's also a wonderful conversation starter—guests will definitely notice a snake draped over your couch and ask where you got it.

For those building a Squishable collection, this rattlesnake adds wonderful diversity. If you already have food-themed plushies like the Comfort Food Shrimp Sushi or the Massive Squishable Banana, adding a wildlife piece like the Rattlesnake creates a fun juxtaposition. It's also a great gift for someone who loves unique, high-quality plush toys that stand out from the typical teddy bear or bunny.

Final Verdict: Is the Squishable Rattlesnake Worth It?

Absolutely. The Squishable Rattlesnake delivers on every front: design, softness, durability, and playability. It's a well-crafted plush that brings a smile to your face whether you're a reptile lover or just someone who appreciates a good hug. The attention to detail—from the gradient coloring to the crinkly rattle—shows that Squishable put real thought into making this snake more than just a novelty item. It's a genuine comfort object that you'll find yourself reaching for again and again.

If you're on the fence, consider how this plush fits into your existing collection or lifestyle. It's versatile enough to be a cuddle companion, a decorative piece, or a gift for a friend who loves animals. And if you're looking to expand your Squishable family, the Rattlesnake pairs beautifully with other nature-inspired designs. For the price, you're getting a premium plush that will last for years with proper care.
